Music program

Why a Music Program at the Trail?

Through art, it is often easier to express one’s emotions and unravel one’s problems.

With this in mind, Le Sentier has set up a music program, with free and adaptable sessions, accessible to veterans, both in person and virtually.

How do we do it?

Accompanied by a peer helper musician, you can learn to play a musical instrument at your own pace!

Sessions can be individual or in a group at your convenience. No experience is necessary!

Participating in the music program is a great way to help you break the isolation while spending time with your music!

Our program is available in our Mirabel, Monkland and Quebec City service centers, allowing you to change environments, soak up our friendly atmosphere and interact with other veterans and our facilitators if you wish. All this with a smile and a coffee!

Our music program is available on a regular basis from September to June inclusively. Registration is open all year round!

Don’t hesitate to contact us for any questions about our program!

My name is Dave. I was walking down Monkland one day and saw a center that offered services to veterans. This one really caught my attention. I walked in to find out that someone there could actually help me with my hearing loss claim with Veterans Affairs Canada. I decided to meet with the facilitator at the center, who assured me that she could help me with my claim.

And she did, she helped me and was very patient with me. She seemed to know how I felt about the process. It helped me regain my confidence and believe that I could have my claim accepted, all for free.

It was also at The Trail that I met Dennis, with whom I was able to have free music lessons. To my surprise,I had a lot of fun and also had the chance to meet other veterans like me, with whom I could reminisce.

I hope the center stays open as it is a great help to veterans and will help many more veterans in the future.

I felt that I was welcome and treated with respect, thank you very much.

I will definitely continue to frequent the place on my own, I feel good when I am there. Thank you very much!
